How to play

Three lives. Falling off the screen or touching an enemy costs one, and puts you back at the start of the scene.

About this edition

Xinyue (Lily) Feng made the game in Java Swing for CPS 2231 at Wenzhou-Kean University (April–May 2024). She laid the levels out on a grid in Excel and made the sprites in Aseprite, based on characters from the Ace Attorney games.

This web edition ports her game logic from Java to JavaScript and the HTML canvas, keeping the movement speeds, jump timing, collision rules and all six levels unchanged. It also solves two problems she described in her project report: the forest background is now animated, and sound effects play once, on cue.

Also changed: after a death, a level now resets cleanly (the original duplicated defeated enemies), and two sprites she drew that the original never showed, a fallen Edgeworth and a knocked-out Winston, now appear in play.
